Quick Summary
- We're launching a public API for plan check—targeting March–April
- One-click plan check from your project management tools; get issues back for dashboards and reports
- Present issues by discipline, cost impact, or custom views (e.g. “owner: your MEP group is slacking here”)
Customers with internal project management tools and dashboards have asked: Can we integrate plan check so we don't have to leave our workflow? The answer is yes. We're launching a public API—currently targeting March, with April as latest—so you can trigger a plan check from your PM system, send your project documents, and get the issue set back in a structured form for your own dashboards and reporting.
One-Click Plan Check from Your Tools
The idea is simple: in your internal tools you already have project documents and metadata. With the API, you can add a one-click “Run InspectMind plan check” action. The system receives the documents, runs the check, and returns the issues. No manual upload, no switching tabs. Your team stays in the same environment and gets results where they already work.
That's especially useful for firms that run many jobs and want plan check to be a standard step in the workflow—not a separate tool only a few people remember to use.
Dashboards and How You Present the Information
Once you have the issue data, you can present it however fits your process. Examples we've heard: graphical dashboards for owners (e.g. “Your MEP group has the most open issues here”), discipline-based views for design managers, or civil-focused summaries for civil leads. The API will expose issues in a consistent schema so you can filter by discipline, cost impact, or custom tags and build the views that matter for your org.
If you have a specific schema or report format you want (e.g. a particular dashboard layout or export), we're open to reviewing it and seeing if we can support it as part of the API or as a template. Reach out with your use case and we can align the rollout with what you need.
Announcing the API in the next one to two months as it launches—if you want early access or to shape the schema, get in touch.
